Vanessa Lovelace is the New Executive Director of the Louisville Institute

Based at the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Kentucky and funded by the Lilly Endowment, the Louisville Institute awards grants and fellowships in support of leadership, education, and research on North American religion. Dr. Lovelace, a longtime professor and scholar of the Hebrew Bible, began her tenure as the institute's top executive leader on August 1.

Camille Davidson Appointed President of Mitchell Hamline School of Law

The Mitchell Hamline School of Law has appointed Camille Davidson as its third president, making her the first Black woman to hold the position. Davidson currently serves as a professor and dean of the School of Law at Southern Illinois University.

Administrative Appointments for Six African Americans in Higher Education

The appointees are Ashley Green at Michigan State University, Harvey Fields at Washington University in St. Louis, Terrance J. Tumey at the Claremont Colleges, Gia Soublet at Xavier University of Louisiana, Donald Brooks at Millsaps College in Mississippi, and William Clemm at Florida A&M University.

Dr. Obie Clayton Appointed to an Endowed Chair at Clark Atlanta University

Since 2011, Dr. Clayton has been serving as the Donald L. Hollowell Distinguished Professor of Social Justice and Civil Rights Studies at the University of Georgia's School of Social Work.
