Dr. Johnson most recently served as president of the Imperial Valley Community College District in California. Effective August 3, he will become the first African American to lead MiraCosta College in its 92-year history.

Danielle Lauria is the new dean of nursing, health, and wellness at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, California, and Sarah Price was appointed dean of the College of Education at Florida A&M University.

Taking on new administrative duties are Braylin Laster at Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis, Kristina Londy at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, California, and Gillian McKnight-Tutein at the Colorado Department of Higher Education.
