The professors taking on new positions are J. Camille Hall at Missouri State University, Alicia Barnes at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Tyson Brown at Duke University, and Cynthia Crawford at North Carolina A&T State University.
The three African Americans in new diversity roles at universities are Adrienne Morgan at the University of Rochester in New York, Algerian Hart at Missouri State University in Springfield, and Monica Smith for the University of Wisconsin System.
The four new diversity officers are Jonathan Glenn at Alma College in Michigan, Joyce Sackey at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Algerian Hart at Missouri State University in Springfield, and Stephanie Potts at Danville Area Community College in Illinois.
The agreement allows for Central State students to start taking graduate course work in their program of choice during their junior or senior year. After graduation, they transfer to Missouri State to complete their accelerated master's degree program.
After allegations that Kenneth Coopwood had been treated unfairly due to his race and a university investigation that determined he had not been discriminated against, Dr. Coopwood decided to resign.
The four finalists for the position of vice provost for diversity and equity are DeBrenna Agbényiga of Michigan State, O. Gilbert Brown of Missouri State, Calvin White Jr. of the University of Arkansas, and Nathan Thomas who was chief diversity officer at the University of South Florida Polytechnic.
