Since arriving at Georgia State in January 2020 as associate provost for faculty affairs, Dr. Parsons-Pollard has created, implemented, and championed a variety of faculty development programs to support and strengthen faculty in teaching and research, as well as leadership programming for department chairs and other administrators.
Long has served as interim president since July 2020 and is the first African American to lead the institution. Before being named interim president in 2020, Long had served as the university’s vice president of administration and finance and chief financial officer since 2013. Earlier, he served for five years as assistant vice president of administration and finance at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Williams is an associate professor of African American history in the department of history and anthropology at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Her teaching and research interests include: African American intellectual history, gender in U.S. history, and race/ethnicity studies.
Long currently serves as vice president of administration and finance for East Stroudsburg University, a position he has held for nearly seven years. Previously, Long served for five years as assistant vice president of administration and finance at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania.
