DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna Will Be the Next President of Monroe Community College in New York
Dr. Burt-Nanna has been serving as vice president of student and academic affairs for South Central College, which has campuses in Faribault and North Mankato, Minnesota. Earlier, she served in various faculty and administrative roles at Baker College in Muskegon, Michigan.
Lloyd A. Holmes Appointed President of De Anza College in California
In 2014, Dr. Holmes was named vice president for student services at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York. Earlier, he was dean of students at North Shore Community College in Massachusetts. Dr. Holmes will begin his presidency at De Anza College on July 1.
Six Black Administrators Appointed to New Posts in Higher Education
The appointees are Linda Strong-Leek at Berea College, Frederick White at Jackson State University, Ontario Wooden at North Carolina Central University, Monique Guillory-Winfield at the College of Saint Elizabeth, Joel Frater at Monroe Community College, and Fatimah R. Stone at the University of Delaware.
