Taking on new administrative duties are Rico Munn at Colorado State University, Monika Williams Shealey of Rowan University in New Jersey, Renarde D. Earl at Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina, Natasha Hutson at Alcorn State University in Mississippi, and Misty Nunn at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Williams held administrative posts at Bloomfield College in New Jersey and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth before joining the staff at Rowan University in 1984. He remained on the staff at the university until 2008.

Monika Williams Shealey, a dean at Rowan University was honored by the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education and Tina Simpson, associate professor at the University of Alabama Birmingham, won an award from the American Medical Women's Association.

The honorees are Kingsley Odigie a postdoctoral researcher at the U.S. Geological Survey, Keisha N. Blain of the University of Iowa, Maurice Williams of Hampton University in Virginia, and Robert L. Belle Jr., a long-time educator who was recognized by Rowan University in New Jersey.

Dr. Terrence Hardee previously served as vice president for student success at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, and dean of the University Center at Cumberland County College in Vineland, New Jersey.

When she takes office on July 1, she will be the first African American to hold the post. She has been serving as associate dean for teacher education at the School of Education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
