The five Black women in new administrative roles are Linette White at Purdue University in Indiana, Joy Cook at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina, Dawn Smallwood at Stony Brook University in New York, Jessica White at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and Mavis Asiedu-Frimpong at Rutgers University-Camden in New Jersey.
Phoebe A. Haddon became chancellor of Rutgers University-Camden in July 2014. From 2009 to 2014, she was dean of the Carey School of Law at the University of Maryland. Chancellor Haddon will continue to fulfill all her duties at Rutgers University-Camden while serving as board chair.
Paula A. Johnson, president of Wellesley College in Massachusetts has received the 2018 Social Justice Award from Eastern Bank and Phoebe A. Haddon, chancellor at Rutgers University-Camden, has received the 2019 Ruth Bader Ginsburg Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of American Law Schools.
Taking on new roles are Sherilynn Black at Duke University, Aaron A. Bellow Jr. at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Daphne A. Bascom at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Rhoda Williams at Vanderbilt University and Rashida Atkins at Rutgers University-Camden.
Wendell Pritchett currently serves as the Presidential Professor of Law and Education at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He served as interim dean of the law school during the 2014-15 academic year and is the former chancellor of the Camden campus of Rutgers University in New Jersey.

This coming fall, Bryan Massingale, professor of theology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, will join the faculty at Fordham University in New York and Gregory Pardlo, the winner of the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for poetry, will join the faculty at Rutgers University-Camden.
The new administrative appointees are Karyn S. Hollingsworth, Sheila Caldwell, Mark Alnutt, Ernie T. Hughes, Redgina Hill, Nyeema Watson, Nyote Calixte, Steven Smith, and Gordon A. Rowe Jr.
Wendall E. Pritchett, chancellor of the Camden campus of Rutgers University, will serve a one-year term of the international organization of urban universities that seek to enhance the communities in which they are located.
