South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has appointed Darline Graham Nordone, the sister of the late Lindsey Graham, to fill out the remainder of her brother's term. She holds a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from historically Black South Carolina State University.

Appointed to new positions are Ayanna Thompson at Arizona State University, Joshua Idassi at South Carolina State University, Ruha Benjamin at Princeton University in New Jersey, and Garry Hoover at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Most recently, Dr. Cooper has served as associate provost at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Earlier in her career, she served on the staff at the University of South Carolina, Florida A&M University, and South Carolina State University.
