Dr. Johnson's new appointment marks a return to Saint Louis University, where she first began her career in academia as an associate professor of legal writing. She will assume her new position as dean of the School of Law on July 1.
After serving as interim dean for nearly a year and half, Dr. Morris has been selected to serve as permanent dean of the College of Business and Analytics at Southern Illinois University. He has been a faculty member with the university for two decades.

The Mitchell Hamline School of Law has appointed Camille Davidson as its third president, making her the first Black woman to hold the position. Davidson currently serves as a professor and dean of the School of Law at Southern Illinois University.
Corliss Outley, professor in the department of parks, recreation, and tourism management and director of the Race, Ethnicity, Youth and Social Equity Collaboratory at Clemson University in South Carolina, is the first African American woman to be named a Fellow of the Academy of Leisure Sciences in its 43-year history.
Dr. Johnson is currently the associate dean for academic affairs at the law school. Prior to joining the faculty in 2017, Professor Johnson was an associate professor of law and director of the Academic Success Program at Southern Illinois University School of Law.
Since 2018, Dr. Ford has been serving as dean of School of Communications at Elon University in North Carolina. Before becoming dean at Elon, she was a professor of public relations in the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in New York.
University Libraries at Washington University in St. Louis has acquired the papers of Charles Johnson, the acclaimed author, cartoonist, and essayist who won the 1990 National Book Award for his novel Middle Passage.
Professor Feist-Price currently serves as the vice president for institutional diversity and professor in the Department of Early Childhood, Special Education and Counselor Education in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky. She will begin her new job on August 1.
Last year, Dr. Green was appointed interim chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. At that time she was vice chancellor of student affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Earlier, Dr. Green served as assistant vice president of student affairs at Tennessee State University.
Most recently, Dr. Bradford has been serving as senior vice president for business affairs at Prairie View A&M University in Texas. Earlier, he served for 16 years within the Southern Illinois University System in various leadership positions.
Sean Megan Scott was named the next president and dean of the California Western School of Law in San Diego and Camille M. Davidson, a former professor and associate dean at Charlotte School of Law, will become the next dean of the Southern Illinois University School of Law. Both women will take office this coming summer.
Currently, Dr. Lang serves as the interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Kansas, where he's been a faculty member since 2011. He will assume his new duties on July 1, 2019.
Dr. Cheryl Green has been serving as vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Earlier, she was assistant vice president for student affairs at Tennessee State University in Nashville.
Southern Illinois University President Randy Dunn stated that the new initiative was put in place so that all campuses in the system "reflect a culture that values diversity and inclusivity in all its forms."
The new appointees are Cinda Scott at the Center for Tropical Island Biodiversity Studies, Clyde Doughty Jr. at Bowie State University, and Mandara Savage at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Dr. Gibson has been serving as a professor of communications studies at the University of Northern Iowa. She served as executive vice president and provost at the university until June of this year. She begins her new job on January 5.
Allison Joseph of Southern Illinois University received the Paladin Award from the literary journal Rhino Poetry and Velma McBride Murry of Vanderbilt University was honored by the Society of Prevention Research.
Marilou Allen is director of the Women’s Center at Haverford College in Pennsylvania and Olusegun Ojewuyi is an associate professor in the department of theater at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
