Dr. Jordan has led St. Mary's College of Maryland for the past 10 years. She has previously held faculty and leadership positions with Xavier University of Louisiana, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and Lewis & Clark College.

Taking on new roles relating to diversity are Dereck J. Rovaris Sr. at St. Mary's College in Maryland, Alisha Knight at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, Marquise Loving-Kessee at Hinds Community College, based in Raymond, Mississippi, and Annazette Houston at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida.

St. Mary's College of Maryland in St. Mary's City has named Leonard Brown as dean of students. Alex Vasquez was appointed dean of students at Amherst College in Massachusetts.

Taking on new administrative duties are Rosetta Clay, F.J. Talley, Kevin Cokley, James Earl Orr Jr., E. Nathan Thomas III, Mark D. Henderson, Jimmy Miller, Katrina Oliver, Stephanie Sanders, and Shawn Felton.

Dr. Jordan, who holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Purdue, currently serves as professor of chemistry and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
