An advocate for racial justice in education, Dr. Brown was the first Black dean of the School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he helped to establish the university's first Black cultural center.

Buffalo State University Rescinds Appointment of Chance Glenn as President

Chance Glenn's appointment as president of Buffalo State University has been rescinded following recent ethical concerns raised by faculty from his most recent employer, the University of Houston Victoria. Buffalo State's interim president, Bonita Durand, will retain her interim appointment through the 2025-2026 academic year.

In Memoriam: Robert L. Palmer, 1943-2024

Dr. Palmer served as vice president of student affairs at California State University, Fullerton for over a decade, where he oversaw the establishment of numerous student support programs including the African American Resource Center. He also spent over twenty years with the division of student affairs at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
