Michèle Alexandre is the First African-American Dean of the Stetson University College of Law
Currently, Professor Alexandre serves as the associate dean for faculty development and intellectual life, professor of law, and the Leonard B. Melvin Jr. Lecturer at the University of Mississippi School of Law.
Five African Americans Appointed to New Administrative Posts in Higher Education
The appointees are Sentwali Bakari at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Michael A. Nutter at the University of Chicago, Sherie Cornish Gordon at Albany State University, Will Sutton at Grambling State University, and Darryl C. Wilson at the Stetson University College of Law.
The Next Dean of the College of Education at Virginia Commonwealth University
Andrew P. Daire currently serves as associate dean for research in the College of Education at the University of Houston. Earlier he taught for 14 years in the College of Education and Human Performance at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Darryll K. Jones to Lead the College of Law at Florida A&M University
Jones will serve as interim dean. He has been serving as associate dean for academic affairs. He joined the law school in 2009 as associate dean for research and faculty development. Jones holds two law degrees from the University of Florida.
In Memoriam: Jefferson Parramore Rogers, 1917-2014
Jefferson P. Rogers was an educator, pastor, civil rights leader, and the former director of the Center for Community Change. He served on the faculty at Florida Memorial University and established the Howard Thurman Distinguished Lecture Series in conjunction with Stetson University.

The appointees are: Kimberly Johnson at Auburn University, Rosalie Richards at Stetson University, Benjamin Reese at Duke University, Kemal Atkins at Kenne State College, LLJuna Weir at Alcorn State University, and Calvin J. McFadden Sr. at Smith College.
