Dr. Maxwell served as a faculty member and administrator with historically Black Southwestern Christian College for almost 50 years, including four decades of service as vice president of institutional expansion.
Dr. Williams comes to Oberlin College and Conservatory from Emory University in Atlanta, where he served as dean of campus life. His career in student affairs has been dedicated to advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion in college communities.
Dr. McLeod also holds the rank of full professor in the university’s department of psychology. She joined Clayton State following her role as vice president of economic and academic development at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Arthur Lumzy Jr. is the new director of student career preparedness at Texas A&M University–Commerce. Sandra L. Barnes was named associate provost for undergraduate education and student success at Alcorn State University in Mississippi and Roberto Campos-Marquetti has been appointed assistant vice president for staff and labor relations at Duke University.
Taking on new assignments are Tony Gaskew at the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford, Julia Ballenger at Texas A&M University-Commerce, Theddeus Iheanacho at Yale Medical School, and Wanda Heading-Grant at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Currently, Dr. Gill serves as president of Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Missouri. Before that, she served as vice president of academic affairs and community and industry education at Tarrant County College in Hurst, Texas.
The new appointees are Julie Graves at the University of Memphis, Martino Harmon at Iowa State University, Lonnie Brown Jr. at the University of Georgia School of Law, LaVelle Hendricks of Texas A&M University Commerce, and Deidre McRoy at Florida A&M University.
