Dr. Mayo has significant experience in academic leadership at HBCUs, including associate provost roles at North Carolina Central University and Harris-Stowe State University.
Since 2020, Dr. Smith has served as campus CEO of Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Earlier, he served as interim president of Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, following 13 years as that institution’s provost.
Since 2017, Dr. Orinthia T. Montague has been president of Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, New York. She previously served as vice president of student affairs and chief diversity officer, and dean of students, at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota, and as dean of students at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
