The Center for Women within the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators was established in 2001 to bring attention to issues concerning women in higher education. Dr. Horn has served as a board member for the center for the past two years.
Under the agreement, Wallace Community College students will be considered for admission to Miles College after earning an associate degree and maintaining at least a 2.0 grade point average. Up to a maximum of 64 semester hours could be transferred and credited toward a bachelor's degree at Miles College.
For the past 17 years, Screws has served as dean of student affairs for Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama. Earlier in her career, she was dean of student services at Sparks Technical College, which later merged with Wallace Community College.
