Shayne Evans, director of the University of Chicago Charter School, was selected to receive the Leadership Diversity Award from the University of Chicago. He will be honored on January 12 as part of the university’s Martin Luther King Jr. birthday celebration.
Evans is a graduate of the University of Illinois, where he majored in political science and African American studies.
So proud of you Shayne! We worked together over at Lathrop School back in 1995. I was only there for a short time. You hung in there. And look at the results. Congratulations, man!
