New Degree Program in Dance at Alabama State University

Alabama State University in Montgomery has announced that beginning in the fall of 2013, it will offer of bachelor of fine arts degree in dance. Alabama State will be the only state-operated educational institution in Alabama to offer such a degree.

Previously, students in the university’s theatre arts program could concentrate in dance but now their degrees will be in dance. The university has stated that it plans to hire new faculty for the degree program.
