In Memoriam: Stephen A. Martin Sr., 1946-2013

martin-obit-picStephen A. Martin Sr., former vice president for finance and chief business officer at Tuskegee University in Alabama, died earlier this month in Georgia. He was 66 years old. Martin had retired from his post at Tuskegee at the end of 2012.

A native of Marrero, Louisiana, Martin earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Tulane University in New Orleans. He taught at Dillard University in New Orleans and served in the administration at Delgado Community College in New Orleans and Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. He also served as a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service.
