Bowie State University, the historically Black educational institution in Maryland, has installed two solar-powered charging stations on campus where students and staff can regard their laptop computers, smart phones, and other mobile devices. The stations were financed through a new student fee designated to support sustainability projects.
Each of the charging stations has seating for up to eight people and has room for two wheelchairs. Each station has six power outlets and four USB outlets.
One of the new charging stations in located near the computer science building on campus and the other outside the Student Center.
