Music Educator Takes the Reins of the South Carolina Governor’s School for Arts and Humanities

adderlyCederic Adderley, dean of the college at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, was appointed the fourth president of the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, South Carolina.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Adderley was associate vice president for academic affairs at Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He also has served on the faculty at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina and North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro.

An accomplished composer and music educator, Dr. Adderley holds a doctor of musical arts degree from University of South Carolina.
