Denise Whisenhunt Is the New Leader of San Diego City College

Denise_WhisenhuntDenise Whisenhunt was appointed interim president of San Diego City College in California. She has been serving as vice president for student services. Whisenhunt is expected to serve as interim president for up to a year.

San Diego City College was founded in 1914. It currently enrolls about 17,000 students. African Americans make up 12 percent of the student body.

Whisenhunt is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego. She earned a juris doctorate from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
