In a letter attached to the agreement, the medical school stressed that diversity in the field of medicine is national necessity and claimed that its admissions policies comply with U.S. Supreme Court rulings. However, the letter said the school was “willing to sign the Resolution Agreement in an effort to resolve this matter and focus on educating future health care providers.”
