Levy Brown has been named vice president of academic, student success, and strategy at Halifax Community College in Weldon, North Carolina. With over two decades of experience in higher education, he most recently served as the senior vice president and chief academic officer for the North Carolina Community College System. Previously, he was vice president of learning, student engagement, and success at Vance-Granville Community College in North Carolina.
Dr. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and a doctorate in higher education leadership from East Carolina University, as well as a master’s degree in library science from North Carolina Central University.

Kayla Storrs has been named head of community engagement and wellbeing for the University of Pennsylvania’s wellness and athletic divisions. She comes to the Ivy League institution from the University of Oklahoma’s athletic department, where she was the associate director of people, culture, and belonging. Earlier, she worked for the university’s Office of Recruitment and Admissions.
Storrs holds bachelor’s degrees in health studies and African American studies, from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Kentucky. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in adult and higher education at the University of Oklahoma.
Darryl W. Lunon II has been appointed associate vice chancellor, senior counsel, and chief of staff to the general counsel at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to joining the Vanderbilt community last year, he was deputy general counsel and chief ethics and compliance officer at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Earlier in his career, he was the chief legal officer and director of compliance for the Applied Research Laboratory at Pennsylvania State University
Lunon received a bachelor’s degree in general science from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, a second bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Georgia Tech, and a juris doctorate from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
Jason Riley has been named director of outreach and recruitment for the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas. He most recently served as the program manager of the Venture Intern Program in the university’s Office of Entrepreneurship & Innovation. In addition to academia, he has experience in the private sector, previously serving as an academic advisor and coach at Elsmere Education.
A first-generation college graduate, Riley earned his bachelor’s degree in family and consumer science from the University of Central Arkansas and his master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Arkansas.

Adrian Petway has been named vice president for administration and finance and chief financial officer at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. She most recently served as the associate vice president for finance and administration at Virginia State University. Earlier, she held financial and strategic planning roles with Virginia Commonwealth University and the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Medicaid Services.
Dr. Petay is a graduate of the University of South Alabama, where she majored in business education. She holds a master’s degree in economics from Virginia State University and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Buckner holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Saint Mary’s College of California and a master’s degree in human resources management from Golden Gate University.
Tiffany R. Hinton has been named acting vice president for student success, well-being, and belonging at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Dr. Hinton has been serving as associate vice president and chief Title IX officer at the university. Earlier, in her career, she was assistant vice chancellor and chief diversity officer at Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina.
Dr. Hinton holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina, a master’s degree in criminal justice from Norfolk State University in Virginia, and a doctorate in educational leadership and higher education administration from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.

Dr. Dixon is a graduate of Morehouse College, where he majored in business administration with a concentration in marketing. He holds an MBA from Kennesaw State University in Georgia and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Clark Atlanta University.
