Historically Black Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida has recently launched “B-CU Global,” an online learning platform that aims to advance access to higher education.
Through B-CU Global, students can complete an accredited bachelor’s degree or master’s degree through flexible online pathways. The new initiative is tailored for three key groups: veterans, working adults, and students who began their education at Bethune-Cookman but have not completed a degree. B-CU Global offers self-paced learning, credit for professional experience, and affordable payment plans that help students earn their degrees on their own terms.
Currently, B-CU Global is offering bachelor’s degrees in psychology, criminal justice, business administration, interdisciplinary studies, and national security and global affairs, as well as master’s degrees in nursing, Christian ministry, business administration, organizational leadership, exceptional student education, and integrative environmental science. As the platform expands, leaders at B-CU plan to add additional graduate programs in teaching and education.
“The ‘B-CU Global’ initiative builds on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune’s unwavering belief that education should be accessible to all,” said President Albert Mosley. “For more than a century, B-CU has empowered students to rise, achieve and lead. Today, through the power of technology, we are carrying that vision forward – opening doors for veterans, working adults, and Wildcats returning to finish what they started.”
Registration for B-CU Global opens mid-October, with classes scheduled to start in Spring 2026.
