Kesha James has been appointed dean of online learning and academic affairs data manager at Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama. In this role, Dr. James will provide strategic leadership for the HBCU’s online initiatives and oversee academic data reporting and analytics that support institutional effectiveness and informed decision-making.
Dr. James comes to Miles College with over three decades of experience in education. Previously, she was director of online learning at Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama. She also served as an instructional technologist, developing and delivering training for both faculty and students regarding the necessary skills to succeed in digital learning environments. In addition to her administrative background, Dr. James has experience teaching courses in business and computer science.
An HBCU graduate, Dr. James earned her bachelor’s degree in business education from Alabama State University. She holds an education specialist degree, a master’s degree in business education, and a Ph.D. in education from Auburn University in Alabama.
