Bragg began his nearly three-decades-long career with Prairie View A&M University in 1998 as an academic advisor in The Place, a student support center at the HBCU. As the university evolved, The Place became University College and later transformed into PV CARES. Bragg remained a constant presence in the program through each transition. In addition to academic advising, Bragg also served as a mentor, helping students overcome challenges, discover new opportunities, and achieve their academic and personal goals.
“Bragg’s passing leaves a void within Advising Services, PV CARES and the broader PVAMU community,” reads a statement from Prairie View A&M University. “His legacy extends beyond the years he served to the thousands of students he advised, the colleagues he inspired, the friendships he nurtured and the lives he touched.”
