Historically Black Lincoln University of Missouri recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Fort Leonard Wood, a U.S. Army training base in the Ozarks, that will open the door to new career-focused educational opportunities for military personnel, veterans, and local community members.
Under the new agreement, students at Fort Leonard Wood can enroll in three high-demand certificate programs through Lincoln’s Security Sciences Institute:
1. Cybersecurity provides hands-on training in digital defense, information protection, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
2. Mental Health for First Responders equips first responders and public safety professions with the ability to respond to mental health challenges affecting emergency personnel.
3. Geospatial Information Science introduces students to mapping, spatial analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
All three programs are offered fully online and designed to be completed in one semester.
