Daniel A. Summerhill was named an assistant professor of poetry, social action, and composition at California State University, Monterey Bay. He has been teaching at Skyline High School in Oakland.
Summerhill is the author of the forthcoming Divine, Devine, Devine, a semifinalist for the Charles B. Wheeler Poetry Prize. He is a graduate of the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, where he majored in English and philosophy. He holds a master of fine arts degree in creative writing from Pine Manor College in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Sharlene Newman has been named a Class of 1948 Herman B Wells Endowed Professor at Indiana University. She is also a professor of psychological and brain sciences, director of the neuroscience program, and associate vice provost for undergraduate education.
Dr. Newman is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she double majored in electrical engineering and mathematics. She holds a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Meleko Mokgosi has been named an associate professor of painting and printmaking at the Yale School of Art. He currently serves an assistant professor of practice at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University.
Professor Mokgosi is a graduate of Williams College in Massachusetts where he majored in studio art. He holds a master of fine arts degree from the interdisciplinary studio program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
William H. Robinson has been named interim provost for strategic initiatives in the Office for Inclusive Excellence at Vanderbilt University. He is currently a professor of electrical and computer engineering, head of the Security and Fault Tolerance Research Group, and associate dean of academic success at Vanderbilt’s School of Engineering.
Dr. Robinson is a graduate of Florida A&M University where he majored in electrical engineering. He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering both from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
