Miles College, the historically Black educational institution in Fairfield, Alabama, has announced that it has received approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to offer the college’s first online bachelor’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
The college’s online bachelor’s degree in business administration is geared toward working professionals. The program aims to become an essential link for professionals to enhance their skillsets in a unique learning environment by offering a flexible online curriculum. The new bachelor’s degree in psychology will provide practical, hands-on training to students who will have the opportunity to apply theory to practice and prepare them for mental health professions.
“We are excited to offer new academic programs and innovative delivery methods in answer to regional and national market needs and the desires of our current and future students,” says Bobbie Knight, president of Miles College. “Further, quality course delivery both on-campus and online affords us new opportunities to ensure we meet the needs of traditional and non-traditional students alike.”
Bobbi Knight became president of Miles College in 2019. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama and earned a law degree a Birmingham Law School.
