Colleges and Universities Announced the Appointments of Four Black Administrators

Timothy L. Millner was appointed executive director of physical facilities management at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Millner joins Howard University after serving as director of capital planning and construction for the University of the District of Columbia. Earlier, he was the associate vice president for Facilities Management at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Millner earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Howard University. He holds a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Florida and a juris doctorate from Temple University in Philadelphia.

Slandie Dieujuste has been hired as vice president for student affairs at Springfield College in Massachusetts, effective July 1. Since 2018, she has been vice provost for student affairs and dean of students at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Massachusetts. She is the former associate vice provost for residence and Greek life at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Dr. Dieujuste received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Boston College. She holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Randale L. Richmond was appointed director of athletics at Kent State University in Ohio. He has been serving as senior associate athletic director at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Previously, Richmond served in various roles with Kent State’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics from 2004 until 2015.

Richmond earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in sociology from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. He holds a master’s degree in higher education and student personnel from Kent State University.

Daisy Desrosiers was named director and chief curator of the Gund Gallery at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, effective June 1. Desrosiers is currently director of artist programs at the Lunder Institute for American Art at the Colby College Museum of Art in Waterville, Maine.

Desrosiers received a bachelor’s degree in art history from the Université de Montréal and holds a master’s degree in art history from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
