Ulysses Taylor was named dean of the Broadwell College of Business & Economics at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. Previously, Dean Taylor was a professor of accounting. He currently serves as chairman of the Fayetteville State University Development Corporation and is board member and treasurer of The Capitol Encore Academy (a local charter school in Cumberland County).
Dean Taylor received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fayetteville State University, an MBA from East Carolina University n Greenville, North Carolina, and law degree from the North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Mitchell Community College in Statesville, North Carolina, recently announced the selection of Marla Harris as the new dean of the college’s Mooresville campus. She was the associate dean of multi-campus services at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte.
Harris earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications and a master’s degree in community and occupational programs in education from the University of South Carolina. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational leadership from Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
Walter T. Tillman Jr. is the inaugural dean of graduate studies and associate professor of education at Edward Waters University in Jacksonville, Florida. He had been teaching at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Earlier, she was the chief administrative officer and assistant to the president of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee.
Dr. Tillman is a graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans. He holds a master’s degree in education from the University of New Orleans and a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University.
Stella Bridgeman is the new dean of the Magnolia Avenue Campus of Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, Tennessee. Most recently, she was the director of first-year programs at the University of Tennessee. Earlier, she was the assistant director of the Student Success Center at the University of Tennessee.
Bridgeman holds three degrees from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville.
