Kim Armstrong Will Be the Next President of Clovis Community College in Fresno, California

The board of trustees of the State Center Community College District unanimously approved the appointment of Kim E. Armstrong as the next president of Clovis Community College in Fresno, California. Dr. Armstrong will assume her new duties on January 3, 2023.

Clovis Community College enrolls just under 7,800 students according to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Education. African Americans make up 3 percent of the student body.

Dr. Armstrong currently serves as the vice chancellor for student, equity, and community affairs at Arkansas State University Three Rivers. Earlier, she was vice president of student affairs at the College of Ouachitas in Malvern, Arkansas.

Dr. Armstrong earned bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degree in physiological psychology and neuropsychology from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She did postdoctoral research at Northwestern Medical School and the University of Illinois.
