Wenatchee Valley College in Washington State Names Faimous Harrison as Its Next President

The board of trustees of Wenatchee Valley College in Washington State has selected Faimous Harrison as the next president of the college. He will begin his new job in January.

“I am humbly honored to serve as the 13th president of Wenatchee Valley College,” said Dr. Harrison. “Wenatchee Valley College’s dedicated faculty, talented professional staff, administrators, and board of trustees are committed to supporting student achievement and success, and meeting members of the diverse communities that the college serves where they are, which was one of the many reasons why I was attracted to this opportunity.”

Wenatchee Valley College, located in the middle of the state, enrolls more than 2,600 students, according to the most recent statistics from the U.S. Department of Education. African Americans make up one percent of the student body.
