Five people, including four students, were shot on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore. The incident occurred outside Murphy Fine Arts Center where a homecoming event choosing Mr. and Miss Morgan State University had been selected. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening. No suspects were identified or apprehended in the immediate aftermath of the incident.
Morgan State immediately locked down the campus but issued an all-clear announcement hours later. David Wilson, president of the university, canceled all classes the next day in “an abundance of caution.” President Wilson, who had attended the event, said “Morgan State University will not be deterred. We will move forward, we will continue our momentum here at Morgan”
