Alexander Miller has been named vice president of student affairs and dean of students at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. He currently serves as vice president of student life at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He has over 20 years of student affairs experience including positions with Harvard University, the University of Chicago, DePaul University, Tulane University, Syracuse University, and Michigan State University.
Dr. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree from Olivet College in Michigan, a master’s degree in student affairs administration from Michigan State University, and a doctorate in adult and higher education administration from Northern Illinois University.
Naadiya Hopkins has been promoted to assistant vice chancellor for student engagement and student leadership in the division of student affairs at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. She most recently served the university as director of student activities and student engagement.
Dr. Hopkins completed her undergraduate education at Fayetteville State University where she double-majored in biology and biology education. She holds a master’s degree in higher education and student personnel from Kent State University in Ohio and a doctorate in educational leadership from Fayetteville State University.
Willie Hucks has been named assistant to the president for university mission and culture at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. He currently serves the university as an associate professor of pastoral theology and homiletics, chair of the department of practical and applied theology, and chair of the seminary’s ethnicity, race, and social justice committee.
Dr. Hucks received his bachelor’s degree in ministry from Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. He holds a master of divinity degree and a doctor of ministry degree from Andrews University.
