Assistant Professor in Marketing
Department of Business, Management and Accounting

Responsibilities: Selected candidates will exhibit the desire to teach at the undergraduate level nine to twelve credit hours per semester; provide academic advisement; participate in retention and recruitment activities, conduct research that leads to publications in refereed and professional journals; demonstrate a commitment to growing students’ acumen and skills by facilitating their involvement in professional marketing associations, and provide service to the University, Department, and Community. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited business school in the Marketing discipline. Doctoral students who are ABD and who expect to complete all requirements within one year of start date are also encouraged to apply. The candidate must demonstrate the ability and desire to effectively teach students of diverse acumen and backgrounds as well as an understanding of marketing in the global economy. Evidence of effective oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to conduct research is also required. The candidate must have a record of interpersonal skills that facilitate interaction with an ethnically diverse student body, colleagues, and administration.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with specialties in marketing analytics, digital marketing, use of artificial intelligence tools in marketing, and sales. Evidence of scholarship demonstrated by refereed publications in the last five years is preferred. Experience utilizing informational technology and marketing research software is also preferred. Candidates with some business marketing experience will be given preference.
The Department: The Department of Business, Management, and Accounting contains approximately 200 students majoring in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, and Business Education. The Department of Business, Management, and Accounting is AACSB accredited and all hiring will be done in accordance with AACSB requirements for academic professional qualifications.
