Job Description:

The Coordinator, Alumni Success and Student Engagement works with students and recent grads to strengthen their early engagement in transitioning from students to alumni. This position is important in our “life design” Alumni Engagement platform. Working with the Director, Career and Life Design and others across Alumni Relations, the Coordinator will build relationships with campus and student groups, identify and oversee a portfolio of recent graduates, and support their post-graduation journeys through various connections and engagement opportunities. The Coordinator will also help integrate recent graduates into the alumni network, identify and provide resources, and share information that alumni will find welcome and useful. This work will allow these alumni to feel supported and connected to Brown, appreciated for their recent accomplishments at Brown, and recognized for their individual needs and goals. In turn, Brown seeks to earn long-term loyalty and engagement from these alumni, which may materialize later in the form of alumni community engagement and philanthropy.

This person must work independently as well as collaboratively while achieving defined goals. They must learn and share engagement opportunities for recent grads to highlight resources and support while actively promoting the use of the alumni network via BrownConnect+ and other networking and productivity tools. The coordinator will initiate referrals and introductions for alumni as appropriate to build and strengthen the alumni network.

The position will also serve as one of the primary contacts between the Office of Alumni Relations and student life, engaging with undergraduate students to familiarize them with Alumni Relations, the Brown Alumni Association, and alumni life more generally. This position will collect data about cohort satisfaction and engagement via formal and informal surveys. They will collect other data and information about network outcomes, and ensure that it is included within the Division’s database for analysis and reporting as needed.
