Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for serving as an attending physician providing clinical coverage at Stony Brook Medicine’s freestanding East Hampton Emergency Department. The candidate will provide teaching and supervising of residents and medical students, contributing to successful research programs, and providing service in an administrative capacity as required.

There will also be opportunity to cover shifts at Stony Brook proper, Commack Immediate Care, and Eastern Long Island Hospital as we move to a systems-based model of Emergency Medicine.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
MD, DO, or MD/PhD Degree (or foreign equivalent). Completion of emergency medicine residency. Board certification/eligibility in emergency medicine. Eligible for current New York State license.

Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate teaching, research and administrative/committee experience. Completion of post residency fellowships.

Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine’s Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
