Adrian West, vice president for student affairs at historically Black Voorhees University in South Carolina, has been appointed president of the National Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NASAP).
With a particular focus on supporting historically Black colleges and universities, NASAP focuses on sponsoring initiatives dedicated to the professional development of both university administrators and students. West has served as the organization’s president-elect since February 2023.
West has been a leader within the Voorhees University community for several decades. Prior to his current role, he served as vice president of enrollment management and dean of students. He also spent many years as head coach of the HBCU’s baseball team.
West is a graduate of Florida A&M University.
