Jonathan Sandville is the new chief development officer for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, where he will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust fundraising strategy to amplify the organization’s mission, impact, and sustainability. Prior to his new appointment, he was commissioner of the Legal Service Trust Fund Commission at the State Bar of California.
An HBCU graduate, Sandville earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Clark Atlanta University. He holds a master’s degree in international politics from the University of Ghana and a second master’s degree in international education development from Columbia University in New York City.
Paula L. Jackson has been selected to serve as interim athletics director at Texas Southern University. She has extensive experience as an athletics executive at HBCUs, previously holding senior leadership roles with Hampton University in Virginia, Norfolk State University in Virginia, Mississippi Valley State University, and Lincoln University of Missouri. She is also the founder of the Minority Trailblazers in Sports Conference.
Dr. Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and print journalism from Southern University in Louisiana, an MBA from Clark Atlanta University, and a Ph.D. in education with a specialization in athletics administration from Northcentral University.
Kendrick T. Dunklin was recently promoted to vice president of enrollment management and strategic matriculant services at Edward Waters University in Jacksonville, Florida. An administrator with the HBCU since 2020, he most recently served as associate vice president of enrollment. He has served in several other capacities, including executive director, dean, and assistant vice president.
Dunklin earned both a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in leadership and ethics from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.
