Talladega College Establishes Student Transfer Agreement With Lawson State Community College
Talladega College has signed a new articulation agreement with Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama, that will open the door for more local students to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
Under the new agreement, students transferring from Lawson State to Talladega College will benefit from streamlined enrollment processes and enhanced access to financial assistance and scholarship opportunities designed to support degree completion at the HBCU. Both institutions will work together to ensure Lawson State students are aware of Talladega’s academic programs, transfer requirements, and student resources.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to expanding educational access and student success while reimagining liberal arts education for a new generation of learners,” said Talladega College President Willie L. Todd, Jr. “By creating clear and supportive pathways from Lawson State to Talladega College, we are empowering students to continue their academic journeys with confidence and purpose. Together, we are building opportunities that prepare graduates to lead and serve in an increasingly global society.”
Cynthia Anthony, president of Lawson State Community College, added, “This agreement represents a significant investment in our students and their futures. We are proud to partner with Talladega College to provide our students with a clear and affordable pathway to earning a bachelor’s degree. This collaboration strengthens educational opportunities and helps ensure that students have the support and resources needed to achieve their academic and career goals.”
