Tuskegee University Makes Three Major Appointments

Tuskegee University in Alabama has announced three major administrative appointments.

Virgil E. Ecton was named vice president for federal affairs. He was vice president for university advancement at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Previously, he worked for the United Negro College Fund as executive vice president for development.

A graduate of Indiana University, Ecton received a master’s degree in education from Xavier University in Cincinnati.

Darryl E. Crompton was named general counsel and vice president for legal affairs. He was vice president for government affairs at Tuskegee.

Crompton is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and the law school at the University of California at Davis. He earned a master of public health degree from the Yale University School of Medicine.

Tamara Young Lee was promoted to associate vice president for state and regional government affairs. She was assistant vice president for government affairs.

Lee is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she majored in music education. She earned a law degree at North Carolina Central University in Durham.
