Carl Wright Named Provost at the Pueblo Campus of Colorado State University

carl wright_smCarl Wright, the dean of the College of Business at Grambling State University in Louisiana, has been appointed provost and vice president of academic affairs at Colorado State University Pueblo. The Pueblo campus enrolls about 5,600 undergraduate students and 1,500 graduate students. Blacks make up 8 percent of the undergraduate student body. Dr. Wright will begin his new job on July 15.

Dr. Wright joined Grambling State in 2009. Previously, he was chair of the department of accounting and finance and vice president of business and finance at Virginia State University.

Dr. Wright is a graduate of Virginia State University. He earned an MBA at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Ph.D. in business administration from Jackson State University in Mississippi.
