The Lambda Theta Delta fraternity at the University of California at Irvine came under fire after a video was posted on the fraternity’s YouTube page that featured a member in blackface. The video was meant to introduce the fraternity to new members. Some members were shown lip syncing to a Justin Timberlake song. Then another member appears in blackface, supposedly playing hip-hop mogul Jay-Z.
The fraternity president released a statement which read, “We sincerely apologize if we offended anyone whatsoever. On behalf of my brothers who were involved in the video, we know that it was unintentional. But unintentional or not, we do know that it was wrong.”
Unintentional my rear end. The did not INTEND to get caught.
