Southern University Executive Gets a Joint Appointment at Louisiana State University

gina-eubanksGina Eubanks was named the leader of the food and nutrition program at the AgCenter at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She will continue in her role as the director of the Agricultural Center at Southern University, also in Baton Rouge.

Bill Richardson, chancellor of the LSU AgCenter stated, “Her joint appointment will enhance our working relationship with Southern University and provide more opportunities for collaboration between the two land-grant universities and efficient use of resources.”

Dr. Eubanks has been on the staff at Southern University since 1991. In 2002 she was named vice chancellor of extension. Under the new joint appointment, Southern University will pay Dr. Eubanks $52,000 a year and LSU will pay her $78,000 a year. Previously, she earned a salary of $110,700 at Southern University.

Dr. Eubanks is a graduate of Southern University. She holds a master’s degree in clothing and textile merchandising and a Ph.D. in home economics from Oklahoma States University.
