J. Renee Navarro was appointed interim vice provost of academic affairs at the University of California at San Francisco. Since 2010, she has been serving as vice chancellor of diversity and outreach at the university and will continue in that role. She joined the faculty at the university in 1990.
Dr. Navarro is a graduate of the medical school at the University of California at San Francisco and holds a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of the Pacific.
Delbert T. Foster is the new acting vice president for research and economic development and director of 1890 Programs at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg. He had been serving as administrator of 1890 Extension Programs at the university.
Foster was recently named chair of the Association of Extension Administrators of the Association of Public Land-Grant Universities. He holds a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees, all from South Carolina State University.
Eddie L. Washington Jr. was named as the next executive director of the Division of Public Safety and Security at the University of Michigan. He will begin his new duties on July 23. He was a security consultant for Dow Chemical Company and is the former director of the Michigan State Police.
Washington is a graduate of the now closed William Tyndale College in Farmington, Michigan, and the National Academy of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Dr. Wood holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, all from the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Crewe holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Catholic University of America. She earned a doctorate in social work from Howard University.

Dr. Youngblood has been an administrator at Trenton State for more than decade. He is a graduate of Florida A&M University and the University of Iowa College of Law. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
