Since its establishment almost 20 years ago, the alliance has met with considerable success in increasing the number of students in STEM fields at member institutions. In the 2012-13 academic years, member institutions gave out 1,592 degrees in STEM-related disciplines, well in reach of the group’s stated goal of 1,600 STEM degrees by 2015.
