Claude Clegg was appointed associate vice provost for faculty development and diversity at Indiana University in Bloomington. He is a professor of history in the College of Arts and Sciences at the university.
Professor Clegg, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan is the author of Troubled Ground: A Tale of Murder, Lynching, and Reckoning in the New South (University of Illinois Press, 2010), An Original Man: The Life and Times of Elijah Muhammad (St. Martin’s Press, 1997), and The Price of Liberty: African Americans and the Making of Liberia (University of North Carolina Press, 2004).
Harriet Frink Davis was named vice chancellor for institutional advancement at North Carolina Central University in Durham. She was associate vice chancellor for development at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. Earlier in her career, Dr. Davis was assistant vice president for corporate relations at Hampton University in Virginia.
Dr. Davis holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, all from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro.
