Donna Polk was named interim director of athletics at Bowie State University in Maryland. She has been serving as associate athletics director and senior women’s administrator. She joined the athletics staff at Bowie State in 2005.
Polk is a graduate of Columbia Union College, which is now Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Maryland. She holds a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.
Shelli Allen was appointed vice president of student development for East Central College in Union, Missouri. Since 1996, Allen has held a number of positions with the Metropolitan Community College system in Kansas City. Most recently, she has been dean of student development and enrollment management at the system’s Maple Woods campus.
A graduate of Truman State University, Allen holds a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Iowa. She is currently studying for a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Kedra Ishop was appointed associate vice president for enrollment management at the University of Michigan. Since 2009, she has been the director of admissions at the University of Texas. She has been on the admissions staff at the University of Texas since 1998.
Dr. Ishop holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology, and a master’s degree and a doctorate in educational administration, all from the University of Texas.
Ron T. Coley was named vice chancellor for business and administrative services at the University of California, Riverside. He has been serving as associate vice chancellor at the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the administration at Berkeley in 1998 after working in local government in Orange County, California.
Coley is a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia. He earned an MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
