In Memoriam: Edward Vaughn

Edward Vaughn, a professor of education at Alcorn State University in Mississippi, died late last month. Dr. Vaughn’s career in higher education spanned 35 years.

Before coming to Alcorn State University in 2004, Professor Vaughn was director of institutional research at Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. Earlier he served as a vice president at Bethel College in Hampton, Virginia, Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas, and Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Professor Vaughn was a graduate of The Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. He earned an MBA at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a doctorate in higher education and student personnel from the University of Mississippi.
